This piece experiments with changing vocal tone colors. The original text explores the disturbing disjunction between the loss of lives in Afghanistan and Iraq, and the undisturbed normality of everyday American life. Composed for and premiered by C4: the Choral Composer/Conductor Collective with conductor Phillip Cheah in 2008.
