“Vision of Flight” is a feminist power song reflecting the experience and perspectives of the young women in the commissioning choir. The text imagines the egalitarian ideal society through a metaphor of birds. The cello drives the work forward as the choir alternates between soaring strength and gentle fluidity (it requires a professional cellist). Commissioned by DR Pigekoret/the Danish National Girls’ Choir, director Phillip Faber.
