“Intheritance,” from Physical Impossibility: A Jewish Reflection on Scientific Mystery, pairs a prayer about remembering ancestors with an original poem about theories of inherited trauma in both psychology and genetics. It tells true stories of the impact of the Holocaust and pogroms on the next generation in my husband’s family. Premiered by C4: the Choral Composer/Conductor Collective March 15th & 16th, 2025; with conductor Bryan Lin.
