“Festival of Lights” sets an original poem focusing on gratitude for religious freedom, the aspect the holiday that I find most meaningful. The joyful yet urgent setting of the text is bookended by floating, gradually transforming sections on the word “lights.” Premiered by the Arizona Repertory Singers.
