This piece about personal interconnectedness has rhythmic and somewhat jazzy opening and closing sections, and a lyrical middle section with lush, shifting harmonies. The original a cappella version for six-part mixed chorus was composed for C4: the Choral Composer/Conductor collective in 2020, premiered by the ensemble with conductor Perry Townsend in 2022, and recorded by The Crossing with director Donald Nally for the album Meciendo in 2024 (listen on YouTube). A version for three-part mixed chorus and piano accompaniment was composed for Goldenrod Chorale in 2025, followed by this treble version in 2026.
